Hattie Jane on Fingering

Regular price $27.00

I never had the chance to meet her, but Hattie Jane was my paternal grandmother and my namesake. I was named Heather Jane in her memory and chose the business name Sew Happy Jane as a nostalgic nod to days gone by and a simpler time. Hattie Jane was a mother and a farmer’s wife. She loved to garden, preserve food, and cook for her friends and family. When I had my logo designed using botanical watercolors I knew I needed a yarn to match, and Hattie Jane was born. She’s gorgeous with Anne Shirley Auburn, Poppy Cheeks, and Envy.

My base yarns are professional quality yarns sourced from Peru/South America. All yarns are certified to mulesing free.

Even though I purposefully dye my yarn to avoid pooling, flashing, and striping, if you are making a project that uses more than one skein of yarn, please alternate skeins every 2 rows to assure an even distribution of colors.

Every skein of yarn is completely unique and cannot be replicated entirely. If you would like to knit a large project please request to a "dye to order" listing so that all of the yarn you need can be dyed at the same time.

This yarn is superwash yarn and it is safe to wash it in a machine using cold water and a gentle cycle. Please lay your finished items flat to dry. I recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry to preserve the colors of hand dyed yarn.

Dyed with professional acid dyes and the highest quality base yarns I can source in a smoke/pet free dye studio.
