Machine wash on a gentle cold cycle or hand wash with mild soap. This will not only preserve the life of your garment, it will help maintain color fastness. I rinse and set my yarns until the water runs completely clear, but PH levels in water, soap, and even skin can cause some slight bleeding for the first wash.
