I’m Heather Jane, the one woman show behind Sew Happy Jane, and I’m so glad you’re here.
How does color make you feel?
If you're an avid maker like me;
- You really want to create things you will adore and feel confident wearing and gifting to those you love.
- You care a lot about the outcome of your projects, so you want to use the best materials you can find.
- You are tired of feeling invisible and seeing a worn out reflection in the mirror; you want to create things that make you SHINE.
- You don't want to play small and stay hidden behind the tired knitting granny stereotypes. You live a full and vibrant life, and your creations should reflect all the things that light you up in this beautiful world.
- You want to work with someone who makes you feel great about who you are and is genuine, approachable, and encouraging.
As a dyer and a business owner, I believe in using thoughtful techniques with the end results in mind, so that you and your projects compliment your life and make you feel comforted, vibrant, and proud. I care a whole lot about you and your success as a creative maker.
I believe deeply in equity and equality for all human beings. I make donations to organizations that support marginalized people, and believe all humans should be equipped to live their most full and beautiful lives. Some of my favorite organizations are The Loveland Foundation, Meals on Wheels, CLUTCH which supports my local LGBTQ+ teenage population, The Wasmuth Foundation for human rights, and World Central Kitchen.
