About The Yarn:
Coyote Run Targhee DK
260 yards/100 grams
30% Crossbreed Grey/70% Targhee
100% U.S. Sheep to Skein

Offered here in it's natural, undyed state.

This yarn is a 3 ply blend of white Targhee wool and grey Crossbreed sheep. The blend contains approximately 70% Targhee and 30% Grey Crossbreed, which makes the skeins an oatmeal shade that creates a rich, dynamic skein of yarn perfect for pairing with our Corrie DK 50g. skeins for colorwork or stripes, etc. This yarn will felt easily, which makes it ideal for colorwork (steeking!) and felting. It will create a very warm fabric! Swatch on size 6-8 US needles to find the fabric you prefer.

About The Wool:

Targhee sheep were originally bred at the Experimental Sheep Station in Duboise, Idaho in 1926. Targhee were developed to withstand the rugged American West ranches and they are ideally suited to produce fine wool as well as meat. A cross between Rambouillet, Lincoln, and Corriedale, these sheep were named after the first flocks that grazed in the Targhee National Forest during the summer months.

About the Mill: Coyote Run Fiberworks in Holly, MI. www.coyoterunfiber.com

Coyote Run is a very small mill established in 2023 by Andy and Nicole Foster. I had the chance to visit their mill this summer, and it was such a treat. Visit their website and their Instagram to learn more about their mission to keep U.S. wool production alive and thriving.
