            Comfort Fade Cardi

My first cast on for 2018 will be my Comfort Fade Cardi by Andrea Mowry. This pattern uses DK weight yarn knit in reverse stockinette stitch to create a squishy, warm cardigan perfect for snuggling up with. Using Andrea's fade technique four colors of yarn are blended together to create a painterly technique that makes this garment particularly eye catching.

I've chosen to knit my cardigan with a pop of berry pink for the first color and fade into variegated and speckled shades of grey.

My first color is called My New Party Dress

I love all shades of berry, burgundy, and pink, so I know I'll be happy with this bright pop of color in my wardrobe. But I don't want my whole cardigan to be bright, so I'm quickly fading into a variegated, but still colorful grey with Agate Beach.

Followed up by a speckled charcoal grey called Storm Dancer, and finally ending with Writing's On The wall or Thundercloud. I haven't completely made up my mind, but I'll know when I get there.

The whole line up looks pretty great together and I'm anxious to get started.
