            Friday Faves for February

It's that time again! The last Friday of each month I love to round up my favorite things and share them with you. Only one of these links is an affiliate link, and it's clearly marked. Everything else is just stuff I love and want to share with you.

1. These Banana Chocolate muffins from Budget Bytes. I've made them 3 times, and I don't think we are sick of them yet. They are made with yogurt, which keeps them really moist and fluffy. Breakfast? Yes. Afternoon snack? Also, yes. Dessert? We think so.

2. I've been listening to this book on audio this week. I really love Amor Towles. Gentleman in Moscow was my favorite book a few years back, and even though this book is completely different, it's really excellent. The adventures of the 4 main characters will keep you wondering what's next. I love the audio narrations. It will keep you knitting because you don't want to pause the story. I think it would really amazing to drive The Lincoln Highway someday. When I'm not using my library I listen to my audio books on Librofm because they support local bookstores.

3. Mom's Stuff Salve. I've purchased many, many potions and salves over the years because my skin is so dry and my hands take a beating in the dye pots. I recently had a friend suggest this, and I had to give it shot. I purchased the all-purpose salve as well as the day and night face balms, and I love them all. They really make my face feel amazing. My daughter has eczema in her joint creases, and the all-purpose pinon salve is the only thing that has given her relief this winter. Plus, it smells like pine trees.

4. This Crochet Monstera Leaf coaster set went viral on Tik Tok. My daughter asked me to make her one, so last week when I had some time on my hands I found a few YouTube videos and worked one up. She loves it, and so do I. I've always been a knitter, so working with a crochet hook was a little different for me, but now I'm "hooked" and I've also been working on some dishcloths, which are super fast and very nice to have on hand. I used DK weight yarn and this video for the leaves (omit the long chain for hanging). I started with a magic ring and made up the pot as I went along, but this video got me started.

That's it for February, friends! I hope something here inspires you and makes life just a bit more fun.

Happy Making.
