Sew Happy Jane is incredibly excited to be participating in the 5th annual 4 Day KAL with Marie Greene of Olive Knits. This super secret collaboration has been in the works since December of 2020 when Marie contacted me to let me know she wanted to use my yarn.
Mic. Drop. Brain. Freeze. WHAT?!?!
I immediately set to work gathering information about how to get my hands on enough inventory (the supply chain has been rough!), which colors I would offer, and how on earth I would prepare my One Woman Operation to dye as much yarn as possible for interested knitters. Fast forward to now, and I cannot wait to share this collection of colorways with you. You're going to love the sweater Marie has designed!!

WHO:
The 4 Day KAL is a pattern designed for anyone who wants to join the fun. Marie Greene is the designer and she has tons of tutorials, swag, prizes, live streams, and support prepared to help knitters of all levels knit this pattern. This party is for YOU.
WHAT: Fireworks Sweater
We're knitting a sweater together! We don't know exactly what it looks like just yet (photos will be revealed on June 7th) but we know the following:
1. It's a yoke style pullover with a REALLY beautiful stitch pattern detail. The pattern is called Fireworks, and you'll know why when you see the design.
2. It was knit using Sew Happy Jane Delightful Tweed DK (That's ME!) But you could also use my regular Delightful DK if you aren't down with tweed. Both will work beautifully. See below for ordering specifics.
3. If you like classic, beautiful design you're going to love this pattern.
WHEN: (you don't have to knit a sweater in 4 days unless you want to!)
Here's the timeline:
May 17th the name of the pattern, the yarn, and the swatching information will be released. Orders open for the gorgeous collection of colorways I've developed for this project. SHOP FOR YOUR YARN HERE starting at 10 AM MST.
May 28th: Pattern Pre-orders open. You can purchase your pattern through Olive Knitsor on Ravelry. (If you want it in your Ravelry library you must purchase there.)
June 7th: Pattern photos are revealed (check the Olive Knits on facebook and your email if you've pre-ordered the pattern)
July 1st: Official pattern release and Cast On Party! (Olive Knits on facebook)
July 30th: Official cast off and end of KAL

I'm offering a beautiful collection of colorways inspired by the Fireworks theme of the 4 Day KAL for this special event. Because of the scope of this project I began dyeing yarn back in the beginning of February, and I chose 6 special colors to feature based on the Fireworks theme, and then added one more limited edition colorway for good measure!
I've knit up a sample of each in my Delightful Tweed DK so you can see what they look like in sweater form. You can see each on in the Colorway Collection Story blog post or within each listing on my website.

Shipping Timelines: Please order by June 15th to receive your Ready To Ship yarn in time for the July 1st cast on date. There is a chance that I will sell out, so please order early for best selection. Orders will close when I run out of inventory even if we haven't made it to June 15th.
Delightful Tweed Dk is the featured yarn for this project, and lots of inventory in each of the 7 colors is *Ready To Ship* until it runs out.
When I sell all that I have on hand I will turn the listing into a Dyed To Order listing and the turn around time will be 3-4 weeks.
*Ready to Ship* means the inventory I have on hand will be packed and shipped as quickly as I am able. Keep in mind that I am a one person operation, so I'm shipping as quickly as I can while still maintaining a reasonable work/life balance. Orders could take up to 5 business days to be handed off to the USPS once you receive your shipping confirmation.*
Dyed to order listings will close June 8th or *When I run out of inventory*, whichever happens first.
Dyed to order Delightful DK: If you're not into tweed I have a collection of colorways available as a dyed to order option on my non tweed Delightful DK base. The yardage/grams is exactly the same as my Tweed base, so you'll have no trouble getting gauge. Turnaround time for dyed to order is 3-4 weeks. This means I will dye your yarn for you and ship it when it is ready.
Due to the scope of this collaboration I am unable to offer more of colorways you already have in stash or take custom requests for colorways that I'm not offering in my current collection. Custom requests will be available again later this summer (but not in time for the KAL). Thanks for understanding.
